Cleaning Gutters With Gutter Guards

How To Clean Gutters With Gutter Guards Installed?

Have you gutter guards installed and still need to clean the gutters and flush out the down pipes?  Want to know how to clean gutters with gutter guards installed? The easiest way to clean gutters with gutter guards already installed is to carefully remove them either partially or completely. Determine how the gutter guards are installed.

Usually they are installed with an adhesive, metal fixings (tech screws) or even both methods have been used to secure a gutter guard system onto the roofing and guttering of a property. Depending on how the gutter guard system was installed will determine how long it will take to remove and clean the gutters.

If the gutter protection system has been screwed into the guttering and roofing, then you will require a cordless drill and tech bits to remove all the screws before being able to lift the gutter guard and clean out the built up debris in the guttering. Making sure that you have the correct tools for the job is important when it comes to working on roofing and gutters around the home.

If the gutter guard you are trying to remove has been glued down with an industrial adhesive. Then its best to use a heat gun and a sharp knife to slice the gutter guard material away from the adhesive and pull away the mesh or plastic gutter guard. If the gutter guard system you are trying to clean has been glued, then expect to end up damaging portions of the gutter mesh while trying to remove it.
